HPL is High Pressure Laminate. These laminates consist of several layers of paper with resin coating which have been joined together under high pressure.

Our materials
Multiplex
We use three-ply beech and birch plywood with very little glue content and an extremely break and edge strength.
Fabrics
For the nappy changer mats a PU leather is used (oil and grease resistant). It meets the Eco Tex Standard 100, Product Class I for baby articles. All other timkid fabrics fulfil the Eco Tex Standard 1oo.

Basically, all timkid changing tables have been tested by TÜV for a maximum load of 75 kg!
Why is “suitable for children up to 25 kg” specified?
The difference between maximum load and baby weight is considered to be the safety of supporting an adult on the changing table.
