All foldable changing tables we offer in our shop have been tested by TÜV Thüringen and meet the test requirements for wall mounted changing tables. As a manufacturer, we make sure that our products can be used without problems in public areas and day care facilities.
How much load can timkid changing tables support? This question is been asked often!
Our products have a maximum load of 50kg. With this weight, our changing tables have been tested. The TÜV, however, differentiates its certificates for type I changing tables - for children up to 12 months and a weight of up to 11kg and in type II - for children up to 15kg. In addition, this has an area for changing nappies of at least 55cm in width. The difference between maximum load and baby weight is considered to be a security when adults rest on the changing table flap.
What makes our changing tables so safe?
The built-in stopper prevents the changing table flap from falling down suddenly when opening. The side roll protection prevents babies from rolling down the changing surface. In addition, all installed materials were checked to ensure that no pollutants are contained. The TÜV certificates can always be found on our product pages in the technical data. If you have further questions, you are welcome to contact us.
Changing nappies in daycare or kindergarten
Wall mounted changing tables that are to be used in kindergartens, must additionally meet the GUV accident prevention. Therefore, these products need a roll protection of 20cm height. "KAWAform white or beech with side height 20cm" meet these requirements.
Note on wall mounting and screws
Included in the delivery of our changing tables are a metal rail for the wall suspension and two safety screws. The locking screws are used exclusively for the holes in the lower part of the body. Dowels and screws must be provided according to your existing wall. We are not allowed to deliver these as manufacturers, as this is not covered by the TÜV certificate. If in doubt, kindly consult a specialist or handicraft company.
